Police Raid on GT-R Register!
Apparently the police have confiscated their servers - if this is true this is pretty heavy stuff. Not least because I'm amongst the named...
GT-R Register - Official Nissan Skyline and GTR Owners Club forum
Read this:
4.00am GMT :
Approximately 30 minutes ago, my home was raided by a combined operation by UK police and Interpol.
They allege that there have been numerous admissions for crimes on this forum, ranging from public speeding to reckless driving on UK and international roads. The provision of both written and video evidence has allowed them to compile, from what I have seen, a large amount of data to prosecute many members of this forum, including myself.
Our entire database and server has been confiscated at this point.
I will keep you updated, but naturally will ask you to refrain from any communication to avoid complicating this matter. Of the 11,500 members on this forum, they've asked for details of the following 458 members:

What makes you say that?
Anyway, I've pulled some pictures/videos from my site which, although either filmed on private tracks/in germany or were photoshopped, could be seen as incriminating...
I've only been posting there a short while (yes, I may be defecting soon) so I'm guessing the list of names on the site is random or were all posters who were active in the last x days.

And if the police have the videos anyhow, all they need to do is request for membership details if they wanted to prosecute; if they did have the videos, and there is no way to identify the exact car or driver, all you need to say is "I was lying, it wasn't me". Some post saying "I did 150mph on the M6" is hardly going to secure a conviction either, keeping in mind that under the Human Rights Act, thats a written confession and is unadmissable in court.
So nice try guys - but not convinced

Nice try.. but I did 150mph all the way back home last night, so I could bury the dead bodies in the back garden that were in the boot and give me enough time to ensure I could barricade myself inside with an assortment of automatic weapons and my dozen hostages. You'll never take me alive coppers!!

BTW. It's a Reliant Robin! Reliant is the company, and Robin is the model, hence Reliant Robin! Or is it an Impreza Subaru you drive?

Seems that this recent publicised motorcyclist hitting 110mph on the roads have spurred them on to act.
There's not much else I can say at this point, but I do know that the list of mobile phone numbers have been matched with user names on this forum - I can only suggest you refrain from admitting anything over the phone - at least until I have further news. I will continue to update as the day goes on, but it does not look good =(
