Yeah as you look into the engine the black plastic cover come off in three parts... I wanted them in clear so you can see the cams running ... like they have on evo's.

been looking for ages.. surely someone must do them

You mean the cambelt cover. All you would see is the belt and the pulleys.

The rocker cover's / cam covers are all the same as far as i know. The timing belt covers however are different on the new age cars to the classic but when they changed i'm not sure exactly

Im just in talks with a company in China who can makes these in a clear heat proof material ... the same stuff police use as there riot shields,

The oulay is quite big but if there was enough interest then they could work out quite cheap ...

It could work out very pricey as different phases of engines have different shape covers i.e. a STI 1 cover will not fit on an STI 5.

Still can't no-one that stocks them .

I have had a reply and it's not cheap!.... well they are but it's a big outlay!

They require £3k to make a special large tool that moulds the material to the shape ... the a furtehr £3-£4k to produce 400 parts (Min Order)

So they would work out £17.50 a part (Roughly)

They may be able to make all versions from the same tool?

It's really for peeps with lightweight / coloured / adjustable pulleys show they can show them off , but yes I understand there's not a big market for them - Hence not worth doing !

Frayz , you have to show off don't ya ! Are those yours?
