Help - oil temp gauge fitting
Ive got an Autometer Phantom oil temp gauge. It has the temp probe directly connected to the back of the gauge via long piece of hard pipe, with a big nut at one end. I presume I need to install this in the blanking plug above no 3 cylinder. But how the hell do i get it through to the engine bay as its quite chunky. I ran the boost line through a grommit under the master cylinder, but cant see how this sensor will fit through that grommit.

i'm sure there is an easier way but as a worst case...
strip off some of the hard pipe (cockpit side) cut the cable feed through the gromit then reconnect using a connector block and cover the block using insulation tape
