Default Squeak driving me mad!! Please help.

I've got a MY00 with PPP - and I love it to bits! However, just recently, I've noticed a squeak that seems to come from the suspension whenever I go over bumps, manhole covers, etc. Now, I accept that this might have been going on for a while - I usually have the window closed and radio on, but advent of summer has allowed me to open the window and enjoy some fresh air, as well as obviously hearing out for ant squeaks!

So, my question is, do I need to lubricate, oil, tighten, change or in any other way do something that I am clearly not doing at the moment?

Also, given the popularity of imprezas, why do Haynes not do a manual?

Thanks

Blah! got an annoying rattle from the steering wheel area that sounds like atiny broken spring. Doing me head in as it is so close you can here it all the time when driving over rough roads.

Is the airbag wheel removeable without messing up the safety systems?

Sorry for jumping in ye thread but similar annoying issues spoiling the car!

5t.
