Just got my car serviced at Gatwick Group and the lovely chaps there let me have an MY01/02 for the day and the night.

I have to say that for the first time in 2 and a half years I was upset getting back into my beloved Scoob. The inside is just so dated in comparison. Even the stereo on the new model sounded half decent.

The car itself was Black/blue with gold wheels and had white side indicators and the projector style headlights. Have to say it looked the dogs. My wife loved it and was well impressed when while out in it herself she had a car full all turn to look at her (the car). Same happened to me.

The first thing I did was check for the Bright switch..... and then off I went. Doesn't feel as quick through first and second, maybe an illusion though coz when I banged it into 3rd it was quite disconcerting, there appeared to be a total lack of lag just constant power.... it was just as chuckable round the twisty stuff (I took a detour via the great roads on Ashdown Forest).

So all in all gets my vote and I shall almost certainly switch in May when my lease runs out on my current one...... STI, maybe, see how the wonga goes.

I drove a demo UK300 a few weeks ago and found it to be a fantastic car.I posted a thread onit.The handling,feel is much better in the MY01.This is just the 1st version so there's much more to come I'm sure.STI for one.Ditch the bug eye's and get some morettes and it looks great too.

They are great, much better than the "classic", I doubt you will be disappointed if you get one.

I think I like my MY01 more than my MY99, which if it hadn't been written off I would doubtless still have and love.

I haven't even Moretted mine, done a few other things tho
