I needed a new air filter badly!


no joy on ebay and MOT and tax has skinted me out!

So...


Halfrauds... brought a cone filter in a housing for 25 quid!


will put it on see how long it lasts lol!

Matt, if its only on for the rest of the month couldnt the old panel have lasted? I suppose as long as your car isnt of the MY?? that suffers badly with MAF failures it will do you. Not sure I would trust the quality of a Halfords £25 complete kit, well not on my Scoob anyway...

didnt get the normal air box when i got the car mate,

MY??? its a uk2000 turbo on a 97 plate,

had a new maf on it when i got it and got 2 spare in the garage off a mate, will be fitting it in a bit and see how i get on,

wish me luck, dont see how it can get alot of cold air to it so its gettin some aluminium piping i got hooked up to the front,

least the metal thing around it will act as a heat shield

its got a big chrome shield around it.....

its fitted, car is running, making sure all is good then going for a blast

I can't see how a filter would affect your MOT. Why are you thinking it would? Whats wrong with the current one?

didnt say it did, had my car MOT'd and it has skinted me out! and car tax,

air filter was manky and old

Sorry Thought you meant you needed one for an MOT.
I'm sure the halfords one will be OK, assuming you are not running serious power, 300bhp+.

about 270ish, just went for a long drive, well 20 mins, and its all good... working well,

though i have adapted it slightly from what bazza would have on his paxo!
