wagon was involved in an accident at the end of january, some pleb went up the back of it. insurance have written it off, but according to the dvla who i rung this morning there is no mark against the car
rung insurance and they said they contacted dvla on 21st feb, but dvla are adament there is no mark against the car, and as far as they are concerned if its taxed, moted and insured we can drive it
has anyone ever been in this situation cause right now we don't know what to do and desperately want to get the wagon back on the road asap

All thatd be recorded at Swansea is a V23 marker and you wont be told about that. Recording accident damage isnt mandatory and it may well appear on HPIs 'condition alert' register at any time; sometimes months afterwards...

yeah we have brought the car back off them, and we are already repairing it, what we want to know is wtf is going on and how lonmg have we got to wait for ?
You don't have to wait. If you have the V5c form then you can repair it, put it through MoT and then use it.
If you don't have the V5c (e.g. submitted to insurance co.) then DVLA will not issue a new one until the car has been through a VIC check. You can download the VIC1 form from VOSA's website. VIC check costs £36. Then you'll get a replacement V5c.

we have got the v5c still, in fact we was asked this yesterday by the bloke i spoke to at the dvla, and in his opinion as long as the car was taxed, moted and insured it can be used.
