Jus wunderin if any1 here knows wether apexi has actually gone bust, im getting a apexi power fc and commander but jus wunderin wether i should be gettin it cheaper. and have i got to worry bout getting it soon.

oh rit well dats a bugger cos iv got a 95. n iv been told to get one cos iv jus had my engine recon'd, should they be cheaper then. do u know of any that r jus as good n and bout the same price.

I heard there still going to be available but only through official apexi dealers though

this is a very old story !
i heard of this over a year ago....
they have been taken over by another company...the power fc's are still being made, just not available to any old car shop !
you will get them from, zen, andy forrest and the likes...
so worry not !!

You heard the story a year ago because they went bust this time last year believe it or not.

Apexi themselves havent gone bust, as Paul said from Zen in another similar thread, they were in a joint venture with another tuning company and that didnt work out. Apexi themselves though are still trading as normal

yes they are under a new name but are no longer making the fc for 92to 96

As said before, Apexera / Apexi is not bankrupt in the English sense. They have declared the Japanese equivalent of Section 11 bankruptcy (a US bankruptcy). This means that they are *not* insolvent and *by law* they can continue to develop new products, manufacture new and existing products and sell them to authorised distributors. I can confirm that the Power FC for Version 1 & 2 Subaru Impreza is *still available* and is still *being manufactured*, because it has been requested by authorised distributors. I will have a shipment of brand new version 1 & 2 Power FCs coming in from Japan this month, from the Apexi shelves, for our groupbuy.

If anyone is still in a panic I have photographic proof that Apexi is fine! My man visited Japan last week and saw first hand the factories, assembly plants and export office and it is business as usual.
