Now that everyone is receiving and using the Origin Blue i units, how do you all feel it compares to the Geodesey and other devices of this nature? I currently have a Geodesey and it tends to warn me once I have driven past cameras, which I think you will all agree is not particually helpful. Has anyone had similar experiences with the Blue i or is it faultless? All comments would be most appreciated.
Cheers,
Dan.

Question

What warning distance do you have set on the Geodesy? I have to admit I have one and haven't suffered from this at all...weird!

I had it set for motorway and then changed it to city, both settings giving the same result. It doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen too frequently to be able to rely on it. Not sure if I have a dud one or am driving in GPS dead zones!!

You've got to be be going mental quick to go past a camera before hearing the beeps. Some of the camera spots are a little out of place but the beeps always start in time.

I wasn't aware of a 'motorway' or 'city' setting. It is only adjustable by distance IIRC. From 0 to 1 mile. Mines still at the default 1 mile, so I get huge amounts of warning.
Too much in fact as it then picks up cameras on nearby roads so I am gonna get mine reduced to .4 mile I think.

When I called Morpheus to have the settings changed they referred to it as 'city' or 'motorway' - as Chuckster pointed out it is only the distance that the warning is given at.

ChrisB - one of the cameras it fails to detect is in a 40mph zone and even at that speed it warns after the camera.

Hopefully my Blue-I unit has arrived at home today, so I will let you know how it fares tomorrow.

Mine still hasnt arrived yet.

I am not too hopeful but not too worried either.

I will be selling it soon anyway as I am hoping my sat nav will in the near future be upgraded to that facility!

Thanks for all your responses. If anyone has any feedback once they have run the unit that would be great too.
