Default dump valve question

can anyone tell me if the HKS (SQV) dump valve has a chatter/staggered sound to it, instead of the normal " woosh" from most D/V'S? also i have been asked if the dump valve is the bolt on to the intercooler type for a JDM v7 sti. any help is grately apreciated. ha thank you *bows*

No, it's more of a psssstttt. The "bog standard" version will bolt onto the intercooler. The version specific for your Impreza will likely come with a mounting plate so that it will sit alongside the intercooler, at least that's what the one on mine was like before I removed it.
