Long term ownership
I've had my bug for 5 and a half years now. The car's still running as well as the day I got it and I've now clocked up 60,000 miles with only a leaky air con pipe failing.
With the worst of the depreciation behind me I've no plans to change at the moment, the car is cheap to run and a great compromise
When the day does come to get something else, at the moment I can't see it being replaced by another Scooby though. The game's moved on and there are better cars for the money, now. Will be interested if the next Impreza can get me back.
How long have you had yours for?

Had my bugeye WRX for 4 and a half years and done 50k in it. The only problems I've had with it has been the battery and the neutral position switch which were replaced (not warranty though).
I really fancy the new Evo due out early next year . I just hope they increase the servicing intervals from 4,500k to something longer as I do about 15k a year now and I just couldn't afford the running costs also have to persuade the Mrs, somehow .
Wolfie.

Owned my bugeye STi for 5 years 2 months, only snags have been a broken A/C belt adjuster pulley and a blown coil unit. Full Tein flex and putting out 360 ponnies. Puts a smile on my face everytime I plant the fun pedal.

Cheap cos I only do 7500 miles a year I suppose. One service - say £300 and my insurance was £400, so that's not much more than any other quickish car. OK so it's not *that* economical, but then again it's not bad. If I wanted economy then I'd go and but I diesel. But I don't

Bought my 99 T plate about 3.5 years ago
High miles at the time - 80,000, now got 110,000
No major problems - still standard
Now I'm thinkin, could have been 4.5 years ago........
Anyhow, normal servicing and cheapish insurance have persuaded me about not changing!

160,000 - no major probs
I had my MY98 Turbo for 7 years from new and around 160,000 miles - no major worries - still went like a rocket when I chopped it in for a MY05 Wagon last year. . .
