New car at TSL today
I thought I'd have grown out of this at my age but will 115 miles on the clock I accidently went to TSL today and had a deresonator section and a backbox fitted on my 2 1//2 hour old Scooby.
What's that standard exhaust all about, I couldn''t bear it any longer

Yes I must remember I'm over 25 now so insurance company's shouldnt bother me anymore
A lot of car for a little over £14k and you shouldnt lose to much after 3 years cuz you've made a massive saving over UK car

[QUOTE=Flaps;6711804]Why?
Cost in Jan 2006 = £15,995 OTR.
Cost of new for March 2007 = £14,248 OTR.
Take into account 14 months depreciation + £1,747 difference = approx. £3K
Need 4 tyres @ ~£400 total loss around £3,500.
Motor Depot offered my MY06 + £1,500 on a new March 07 WRX, that's why !
Got side airbags and sunroof as option, and claimed tax back on MY06 WRX.

Cough......ummm........ahem don't think so as I'm not messing with cats or anything, I think there is problems when you decat, get boost spikes, and blow the engine.

Now youve sorted out the exterior sound are you going to do anything with the audio system? the stereo in it reminds me of one that came with my 80's capri (although that was cassette admitedly) and the speakers are pretty average too.
I Fancy replacing the door speakers to get a bit more depth, any thoughts?

If it is any help, I fitted an Alpine CDA-9812RB head unit with Alpine SWD-3000..£400 delivered with wiring kit. Installation done in 1/2 day and a fantastic difference to the original ! PSi 3 supplied Subaru to ISO connector at £5.

I've done just over 200 now, I car share in order to get a company car parking spot and this week isnt my week unfortunately so I have been finding excuses to pop out in the evening to clock a few up each day.
I think I will replace the head unit first and sort out the speakers afterwards, the head unit seems the easier job for quick results and I havent delved into this kind of thing for a good few years so need to rebuild my confidence, especially since I was used to working on 10 year old bangers not a brand new subaru .
I'd pay someone to do it but I'd have to be recommended someone as I dont want put my dash and doors in the hands of some random fitter and hope for the best.

Yes its all miles, got my V5C, sent that off for the service book Saturday. Done about 620 miles now probably won't be on a 1000 for two weeks I reckon.
