Just put a GFB Stealth FX on MY06 2.5 WRX. 17 adjustable noise positions and adjustable spring tension for fine tuning. Got mine from subaruwrxparts.com, cos of exchange rate ($295). Great installation video no GFB australia website. You don't need the BOV gasket. The old one is removed as the BOV seals on the supplied o-ring.
£25 customs charge though !!
Turbo Smart seem to be popular as far as DV's go.
However...many people that have put them on (not strictly the Turbo Smart ones but any retro-fit DV) have reverted back to the stock item because they found the car to be more jerky with the aftermarket item.
(Many) others just frown on them full stop and don't bother in the 1st place.

On topic a VTA dump valve will have an adverse effect on your car which is designed to run with a recirculating one.

my scooby dealer is happy enough about the fitting of one and the laws surrounding the warranty say that the part fitted must directly affect the failure .example fitting an aftermarket zorst is not going to effect the starter motor if it fails.
Anyone interested in a new GFB Stealth FX BOV. £150 including recorded delivery. Boxed with 1 year warranty, full instructions.

There is nothing wrong with the standard re-circ valve.
If you fit a VTA DV then you will encounter problems.
Any air entering the engine will have metered first by your MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor in order for the ECU to determine how fuel to provide in order to achieve an optimum A/F ratio. By using a VTA DV you will be releasing the air. As such the ECU will be unaware of this but still provide the fuel into the cylinder. This will end up being unburnt and run down into your sump. It's something known as 'bore wash'.
As has been said by the other members who have posted in this thread, do a search and you will no doubt find countless threads on the subject of VTA DV's.
In my personal opinion they are chavvy and only serve to impress schoolboys with that gay noise.
