DO I NEED A LAMBDA SENSOR IF MY MYO1 STI HAS A COMPLETE DE-CAT EXHAUST SYSTEM?????
Morning all
I have just had a complete new exhaust system on my MY01 STI JDM. It is now completely cat free. Do i still need the Lambda sensor attached I've had several opinions, some telling me i don't need it as it is now car free and others telling me i do???
I thought the idea of the Lambda was to allow the ECU to make changes to the fuel and air and should be attached? I do have a blanked off plug that i could plug the lambda into?
Secondly, i have fitted a K&N 57i induction kit.
The car has had both items attached for two days and is running really well and smooth. But after 2 days the engine management light has come on and remains on, (Not the engine check light) The car still runs great though. Any idea what if could be??
