Question Unequal length headers

Am looking to buy a set for my type R, which are the best and wear is the best place to buy? also would preffer to have them heat coated rather than having to wrap them. Any advice much appriciated.

They're already unequal, aren't they?

Although mine are on a 03 WRX, they are GT Spec 2 replicas, from Tracktive via Richard and Gavin. They are made up for them to the GT Spec 2.
I had mine ceramic coated, again through Tracktive, but i do not know where they got sent for this treatment.
They were not cheap, nor was the ceramic coating, but i didnt want the risk of wrapping getting oil on it then going up in flames, nor do i want to be re-wrapping after a year or so.
They have been on the car around 6k miles now, but i still have the under tray on my car so the cracking, etc, should not be an issue really.
I also got another up pipe that came with the headers, that too was ceramic coated. 3 bolt flanges too and not the older 2 bolt type that leak.
Worth talking to Tracktive i think.

Thumbs up

Thanks again for the responses, will talk to tracktive and see what they can do, would rather pay the extra and get a quality product.

if you're buying aftermarket headers, would it be worth going for the equal length ones, more torque to be had?
