How fast is a 2001 import STI saloon???
I recently bought an STI import 2001 model. At the moment it's standard apart from the rear cat being removed and replaced with a straight through Remus exhaust, (still has front cat intact) I got the speed up to 155mph and that was on my GPS system so i presume it was accurate.
Yet the rpm was only 7000, leaving at least 1000 rpm before the red line. It didn't want to budge above 7000 rpm but i ran out of road so can't be sure if it would have crept up abit?
Also my model number on the strut plate shows as GDBA4EH. I can't find that anywhere on any chart or info sheet on the net, so what is it??

Stick to the under 60 mph limits then a national limit clear road is one long run way!!
Now, surely somebody out there has the knowledge to answer my first question???

Don't know what the top speed is - never pushed it to find out, anything over 120 ish is a bit suicidal on UK roads. When i really want to blast at high speed i get my bike out
(also the carbon bonnet flexes alarmingly and i don't want it coming through the windscreen - must get around to buying some bonnet pins!!)
