Default 2007 Impreza to come WITHOUT a rear spoiler?

Talking to a dealership today and the salesman stated the new 2007 subaru impreza would come WITHOUT a rear spoiler at all and they would be provided at an EXTRA COST........

Bit of a psss take I feel. More of a money making idea.

When i started asking about other bits he sort of clammed up.

Funny you mention that, I was in Beechdale yesterday and on the forecourt was a brand new WRX without a spoiler.

Just tell them that without a spoiler you won't buy the car. And you won't pay for them to put one on...

..sooner or later a stealer will give you what you want

How refreshing. Humungous spoilers are so last century, aren't they? I mean, how ludicrous - attaching great plastic non-functioning coxcombs on your bootlid.

Well most people take them off and replace with an after market one anyway,
so guess it saves having to store the standard one in the Garage / Shed / Spare room.

Mmmm could be a market for my standard low level spoiler soon then

Yes, but the obvious problem to that is that mine is still attached to my car I would like it to stay that way too

There aren't enough asterisks for "inadequacy".

He abbreviated

A dealer has told me that when you follow one down the road the looks do grow on you - mind you when I saw one it was at christmas and they'd draped tinsel around the boot where the spoiler would be

Heard that the guy at IM who made the decision to have UK 07 cars imported without the spoiler is no longer employed by them

Default Rear spoilers (or lack of them)

I had my rear spoiler 'kicked off' the back of my MY06 WRX a few days ago. Made quite a mess of the spoiler. The pond life who kicked it off must have taken quite a run up.

Anyway, I fixed it up with epoxy as a temporary repair and drove around with no rear spoiler for a few days. In the end I decided I preferred it with no rear spoiler. Looks a bit naked at first once you get used to it, I think it looks much neater. I did put the fixed spoiler back on as I can't be arsed to make the necessary mods.

cheers.
