Orange Mobile Phone Masts Block Signals
#1
Got stuck in a hospital car park due to the fact I couldn't use my key due to an orange mobile phone mast blocking the signal, this lasted for almost 20 mins, couldn't start the car either due to the immobiliser.
This was at the Princess Royal in Haywards Heath, Car Park 2. I whiled away the time phoning Subaru Assistance, they were quite sympathetic. I phoned them back to tell them everything was ok, but a bit of a scare trying to read the security manual. I don't even know my security codes!!

My wife had the same problem at Brighton General Hospital with her Forester. When I queried this with the dealer (Gatwick Motors), and said that it happened in Brighton, they immediately guessed where the car had been parked!!!It is a known problem to them! They thought it was a radiation problem from hospital equipment, but there is definitely a mobile phone mast on the site.

Isn't it strange how hospitals often ban mobile phones 'cos they might interfere with their equipment, and yet are happy to have massive arrays installed on their roofs!!!
