Question

For a classic there about £40 quid... I would imagine it will be something around that price for newage mats...

The dealer ones are crap mate, I wouldn't bother with them. My drivers one had a hole in it with in 5 months (6000 miles) where the right heel sits.

There are some mats on ebay which are tailor made to fit new age cars and are more durable for half the money. The set I have now are over a year old and still look brand new. Paid around £25 for them off ebay.

Subaru mats are ****e! Seriously they really are.
I am on my second set, and exactly like Bugatti says above, the bit where your right heel goes wears out too quick. ****e does not describe how bad they are. And before they wear out, the dint where your right heel goes gets on your nerves anyway once worn.
I am gonna try to find some others.

You may aswell just get a metal plate on the part where the heel wears it away. Mine has a hole in it, but its been like that from when I got it.

I priced a set up recently at the dealers. They gave me three options...

Subaru mats with 'WRX' logo £60
Subaru mats with 'Impreza' logo £45
Dealers own tailored black mats £35

These prices are inc. VAT and are not exact to the penny. The WRX mats were softer & plusher than the other 2, however the dealers own tailored mats felt the most robust. I personally like the 'WRX' ones the best, but haven't decided whether they warrent the £25 premium!!

I remember the FTO club organised a group buy from Autostyle who are not cheap but make some good stuff. i was impressed with mine and a decent discount was available. £70 +p&p with WRX logo and metal heel plate standard price...

Autostyle quality car mats. Personalised car mats designed to fit any vehicle. Not use them myself but you can play about making you own designs! I may get a Set in black with Green edging and Metal pads with Turbo AWD on them if the car passes its MOT today as a treat!

I have a set of mats from the dealer with impreza written on them and i must admit the dealer mats from Toyota for my MR2 were much better. They dont seem to have a quality feel but are not wearing too badly after 12,000 miles. I wouldnt buy them again though , try the custom ones.

Autostyle mats appear to be very good quality, also fit well - with the Classics they were aware that the floor was different between the facelift/pre-facelift. Securing screws do break reguarly but they will post a handfull free of charge if you call.

Can't comment on price as won mine - twice in Jap Performance magazine competitions in 2000 & 2002 (different cars).

Just ordered a set from Autostyle after picking up the car from my MOT station, flew through with just a cautionary about slight play in the rear drop links bush's (was going to fit Whiteline Drop links and 24MM ARB any way eventually). When they arrive I will try to post a few Pictures to let every one know if they are good...........

I bought a set of STI mats from the dealer for my 06 STI and they were 69.99. Happy with the quality but time will tell. I considered some from ebay but the logos looked poor quality.
