STI and Renault car alarms
Hi everyone
I've had my 05 STI PPP for a couple of months now and have noticed a problem with it - every time I start it from cold (and sometimes even when it isn't cold) my next door neighbour's car alarm goes off. They've got one of those Renault Megane coupe-cabriolet things. My car is garaged but even if I start it outside the Renault alarm goes off!
Now while this was amusing for a while its beginning to get to the stage where although my neighbours haven't said anything yet it must be annoying them.
I also recently had to park next to a different Renault Megane coupe-cabriolet at work and again every time I started the Impreza that car alarm went off as well. Its also set off the alarm on a Renault Scenic.
Has anyone else had this problem with setting off Renault car alarms? Is there anything I can do to avoid setting thier alarm off every morning or are Renault alarms just really sensitive?
Any help appreciated before the neighbours lynch me...

I was reversing into a space in a multi storey car park the other day and a lexus's alarm go off... echoing noise etc. People must have thought i had hit the car.
Just sensitive alarms i guess.... but i can see how it must be annoying for your neighbour's especially if its every morning.... not much can be done thought really.
Unless you want to sell the scooby...
