Default MY05 STi PPP Type UK Tuning options

Hi,

Wanted some info regarding the blob eyed scoobaru's. Being a jammy git I work for a automotive related company, meaning I have secured a 2003 STi Type UK with the prodrive fitted.

The warranty will run out eventually so I want to workout what tuning options are open to me above the 305bhp prodrive pack, bearing in mind its UK model so not as well setup as the JDM counterpart (yes I know, I should have gone the JDM route however I am saving a fortune going through my companies network).

I don't want stupid mods, something I can use everyday and means I won't have to visit the garage a month later. I want to hit around 320 bhp/315+ torque but am not entirely sure how I would go about improving on the ppp.

Is the TSL route a good option or does anyone have recomendations like Powerstation etc?

I don't mind getting my hands dirty, have access to a mates workshop/servicing garage so if you think seperate parts are a good option recommend away.

Thanks,

Fz

thery are all pretty much the same packages

free flow exhaust ( with or with out cat depending how naughty you want to be )

fuel pump
uprated pannel filter
ecutek remap

the remap is the real "skill" in the job

should net between 320 and 340 bhp

you don't mention the area your from but as you mentioned midlands garages
from my own experience I would recommend

ROGER CLARK MOTORSPORT TEL: 01455 828610 8.30-18.00 GMT
and http://www.brdevelopments.com/ for the remap ( Bob Rawles )

but from what i have read I woud have no problems going with

a remap with the ppp will net you 320+ if done by a good mapper,it did with mine and that was done with bob rawle.ppp all ready has free flowing cat etc plus your car should have an up rated fuel pump so no need to spend any more dosh, apart from remap

Please have the fuel pump checked if you remap. The stealer that did my PPP left the standard pump in and charged me £178 for the uprated one. They then stonewalled me when challenged so the case is being heard at County Court next Wednesday.

If its MY03 car you won't have any warrenty left now anyway unless its got a extended Subaru one.

Should not be to hard to get the figures you are after, as above posts.

Good Luck.

TSL (as well as others, inc. individual mappers) do a remap on top of the PPP for about £500-600 and that will give you the figures you're after.

If wanting a little more.

You could try:

3" Full exhaust £400
Induction Kit (RCMS, APS, K&N) £200
TD05/18g Turbo £1000
Remap £500-600

That will retain driveability, but give you circa 360-370bhp.

Other choice mods would be:

Whiteline Rear ARB £90
Droplinks £40
Prodrive/Eibach Springs £200
4 wheel geometry £60

Ferrodo DS2500 Pads £200
Braided hoses £50
5.1 fluid £15

Now you're talking a mean-machine that goes fast, corners and brakes too.

To summarise power without control is not good ... you at least should sort your handling out as well. Go to Powerstation, stage 2 or even 1 (if you already have 18" and prodrive springs.

Aye, handling is a priority and something I will be looking into during the time I go for power; proabably go for something like the powerstation handling kit and I might look into uprating the brakes at some point as well.

Thanks for all the info, I have a rough idea of how much I need to start saving up
