Angry petrol

help. I have a bug eye on a 51 plate. I can smell petrol inside the car and when i lift the bonnet. Exhaust is ok and i have no loss of petrol can you help me.

lid = boot or bonnet ?
If boot its most likely the fuel pump or the seal around the fuel pump top.

Unless it's something obvious that's broken or come adrift under the bonnet, I'd get the car straight down to a garage for a professional check over.

Dodgy stuff, petrol, if it gets where it shouldnt......

I had the same problem, then my maf sensor went.... been fine since it was replaced

Mass Air Flow sensor....measures air flow and helps determine air / fuel mix.
