Default Getting service recordfrom Fox Subaru (Kent)

I am thinking of buying a 2005 Subaru that has originally come from Fox Subaru (Sevenoaks, Kent). They went bust at the end of November last year and are in administration. Unfortunately the service records for the car (which is still theorectically under warranty) must still be at Fox. Subaru UK do not keep service records themselves and so will not honour the warranty on the car unless I can produce a service book or service print out giving evidence of oil changes etc.

Anyone got any ideas on how to achieve this? For example, does anyone know who the Administrators are for Fox Subaru, or does anyone know if their staff have moved to another Suby dealership? Any info or suggestions would be appreciated..
Cheers.

Jon has moved to Lifestyle Subaru and he may be able to help

If the car is still under Subaru UK warranty you should have the service book and any dealer will deal with a warranty claim

Thanks for the reply.

No service book with the car.
However the car was actually owned by Fox Subaru (their name on the V5c) and was a demo vehicle. I'm pretty sure it will have been looked after, but just worried about not being able to claim on warranty. I'm guessing the documentation is still on the Fox premises.

When you say 'Jon' is at Lifestyle Subaru - who is Jon?

Cheers.

don't think this is the case. i queried a service on my car and my dealer typed in my reg and it gave him the full history of the car. where and when it was serviced, where it was first sold from, the whole works.

all this depends on if the info is put on the database i guess and as already stated, DO NOT buy the car if it comes no history (unless subaru UK can issue a replacement book with some sort of write up of the service history)

agree with last post when my car was at tiley in bristol they punched in reg and all history came up on their computer even though all work was done at cvc in cardiff
try giving another subaru dealer a ring and see if they can get any history up,this is assuming it has actually been serviced prior to the dealer going **** up

Called Subaru UK HQ today and spoke to very helpful guy there. He told me that service records are NOT centralised. The only info they keep centrally is warranty repairs. He was able to confirm that the car has had an exhaust sensor under warranty, but no service data.
I called a local Subaru dealership and they said they were unable to access service information if the car was serviced outside their dealer chain. I assume they were telling the truth? Hard to know what to think really.

Like I said, Subaru UK told me it is only warranty repair work that is kept on the central computer - not just regular services like oil changes. This is what they told me today. Is there anyone who posts on here who works for a dealership and can maybe settle this one way or another?

I did call service dept. in a Subaru dealership today and they told me that they cannot access info on when the car was serviced (which seems to confirm what Suby UK said) - but maybe they just couldn't be bothered to help. Anyway - I will have to research it further.

Car is for sale at a reputable large 'independent' used car dealer - don't want to say too much at this stage.

Cheers for the help so far.
