cambelt is 50k or 5 years whichever is sooner. Just for your info, I phoned Triangle yesterday and the 40k service is £275 and the 5yr service is £411 which includes the belt - £136 extra to have teh belt done a year earlier.

Just had 40,000/4year on std WRX and service + mot was £333 at local dealer, cant remember last years bill, but it was big £450ish.

Next year is 50000/5year and cambelt which at todays prices is £450 (quote from dealer) I also have an advisory on front discs which they suspect will need replacing next year along with another set of pads.

Best start saving now !!

Not cheap to run these cars are they, however they are good fun !!

Keep in mind you don't have to get all these things done at a main dealer. Getting discs and pads replaced at a main dealer means you'll most likely pay top dollar. Check out part prices here for example and see if you're being quoted a fair price.

Subaru Impreza Turbo Parts, Tuning, Spares & Accessories -

Oh, and buy your own oil for them to use. I used to get charged £60 for oil and you can buy the same or better yourself for about £30. Take a look at your last invoice - how much did you pay for oil?

50K is the cambelt, its my next one this year.

40K done at a main dealer was £183.

50K is mainly cambelt and a minor service, so the garage quoted me only £230 for the service.

Cheers

Matt
