Default Calling trackdayers - Will my car pass a 100db noise limit?

Hi there. I'm looking to do my first trackday this April at Bedford Autodrome. The noise limit for the day is 100db. My car is a STi version 4 with a decat downpipe and a scoobysport backbox. The original resonated centre is still part of the system. So, will my car pass the test do you think? Cheers

I would hazard a guess at YES, but, there are way too many factors for that to be enough...... my car has the same downpipe and backbox, also with a resonated centre, but it's an H&S one.... my car register about 92/93 from memory.....

Don't leave it to chance. Go to a local circuit and ask them nicely to test your car for you.

I think it will, as my own car is a full decat with prodrive back box, and magnex centre resonator=89dB

Scooby sport back box arent much noiser than mine

Cheers for the replies.

Gutmann - will do that. It'll give me a chance to check a track day out from the sidelines too!

Gutmann's right and Bedford are VERY strict on noise limits. If your over you go home

If you record a 98-99db on the test day you may record 101db on the Trackday as noise came be effected by different atomospheric conditions.

if your readings are that close on a Test take a quieter backbox just in case

IMHO

BTW you'll love the circuit

Doubt it'll be over 94 on a static test- from experience- you really shouldn't have a problem.

Dip the clutch on a static test to take the transmission rattle out of it
