Default advice please

hi everyone.new to this forum and looking to get my first scooby in a short while.ive been looking at a 2000 ,2000 turbo estate. rang insurance companies first and thats all fine.also seen a couple of 2001 bugeyes and was wondering your opinion between the two .also are they on the same insrance bracket as a classic? (both uk cars).any help would be greatly appreciated.i dont plan to go crazy with mods just an exhaust, filter etc
is there any real difference between the two besides the styling?
cheers guys.

Go for whatever floats your boat, for me it's the classic but I'm sure the bug eye is a great car but personally i don't like the look it head on (sorry bugeye owners) Good luck

hi mate,
AFAIK the classic, with its 160 kg or so weight saving, offers the better performance and is more raw. The new age cars (bug onwards) are heavier but more refined and meant to be better handling. Guess it depends what you are after.

Yip. Classic faster, Newage more solid and refined.
