Question check engine light

i have a '98 2.2L impreza and my check engine light came on today. i need to know if there is a reset button or do i have to get it diagnosed???

Check your maff sensor, or disconnect the ECU leads from underneath the steering column some where in the footwell area.

Unsure if the 98 are the same but a battery disconnect resets it but its nice to know the reason why it came on first....

The series of flashing lights when you follow the diagnosis tells you the code.

Same here but there is a morse code way of doing it without taking it to the dealer or finding someone with delta dash
