What is this country coming to..... I am having to spend over £3000.00 to have CCTV and alarms fitted at home, just to try and deter the scum bags, who are mostly pikeys around here. (Berkshire!)

Hopefully it is a one off but I have said to my wife should something like that happen to ours I would without a second thought get rid as our safety etc is far more important than owning the scoob, and you can buy less desirable cars that do a similar job
Lets hope things are all ok for yours.

Hi there,
Welcome to SN and a shame your first post is under these circumstances!
It is not just Scoobs, i think you will find the 3 series is the most stolen prestige/performance car (may be wrong here) but a lot of nice cars get nicked.
Sadly, with car security systems getting better all of the time the weak point is the driver/owner either in the car or at home, as in your case. All you can do is make it more difficult, this will not solve the problem just move it to someone else.
Serious penalties for this sort of crime will help, an overhaul of our criminal justice system is need really.
Look at blackjack or such like.
At least you are OK!

German/English ... her grandad is in all the GSD books - he was UK Champion He has a mark on his tongue - and ours has the same mark!
Excellent temperament and intelligence ... very fine bloodline - pretty expensive too, but well worth it!

Kelwick, don`t let the scum beat you and spoil the enjoyment of the passion you have for Subaru Impreza`s. You have just been unlucky in being targeted by these low life, also nobody is too old to have a passion for sports cars and 50 isn`t even old anyway as look at the amount of rally drivers that are still driving at the top level around a similar age.
Age is just a number and your as old as you feel, this 90 yr old is signing off with flu now as 90 is how i feel at the min .... Sorry to hear about what happened.

Think you are wrong on that point. Mine went 'AWOL' for a few days (some years back), and was apparently used in a crime. Got it back (and kept it), although it took ages for the repairs (which were mostly cosmetic, scraped paint and minor dents) to be completed due to the lethargic efforts of the insurance company.
hope you get it back all ok then m8.
