Been using Tesco 99 but currently have V-Power in the tank, can honestly say I haven't noticed any difference so I'll be using Tesco from now on as it's cheaper.

Although the Tesco 99 is giving good results and to the fact that some people are are choosing that as their petrol of choice, myself personally it's V Power.
For me the difference is this: V Power, like Optimax before it, has been designed from the ground up as a performance fuel. You could almost say that it bespoke in that way when looking at the Tesco option. That is because Tesco 99 is basically 95RON petrol with bio-ethanol additives to make the required RON grade.
Even though the two are both quoted as being the same octane, they will have different burn characteristics and different calorific values which are what counts for the mapper when he's trying to dial in some extra ignition and avoid knock of any sort.
It's the better option technically, so to speak.
Oh and Optimax was found to be on average 98.6RON, so there's a good chance the same could apply to V Power, so maybe you could get close to 100RON on a good batch.
But as said, other people prefer Tesco. I am V Power fan, and an Optimax one before that
It does my JDM well

Exactly, very little difference in them. Remember seeing a rolling road test with bikes where they ran supermarket and optimax super through a fireblade. The optimax gave an extra 0.5hp and about 14,000rpm so to get any benefit you had to be screaming the nuts off it.
Also the "average" thing is important with optimax. It degrades in storage because it isn't that stable so there is no quoted RON rating on the pumps. Yes if you get a fresh batch it could be nearer 100 but you are just as likely to get something at 97 too.

Shell for me, I've always ran the car on Shell (4 Years of scooby ownership). Optimax and now V power. They have cleaning chemicals which is always good for the inside of the engine.
The cars mapped for it and you get Pluspoints.
One downside is the exhuast seems to get blacker!!!

I use Tesco and think its brilliant, no problems at all.
The last couple of times I have put V-Power in the car seems to boost strangley, goes up to 16psi, then straight back down to 10 spi, then back up to 16 psi before settling at 14psi.
But that could be because the ECU has learn't to run on Tesco.
Personally I prefer it, it works well and is cheaper, plus you get those really useful Clubcard points

I use either. I do prefer the V-Power becuase of the way that it is meant to help clean and protect the engine. See below:

I only ever use V-power. I tried a few different fuels such as tescos 99 and bp ultimate and both didn't seen to pull aswell at the top of the rev range as v-power does. I also drive a fair bit with my mate who has an rx7. On the same fuel there is nothing between us, however when one of us is not on V-power, the other who is running on it always has the edge. Tesco's by my opinion has the worst results.
