From that video it looks impressive and well set-up but we'll have to wait for the Monte I suppose. I hope it's more competitive this year.

Its not that theve dropped the pirellis, is it not the rules this season that everyone has to use the same tyres?

Fair enough, I thought I read that they pulled out, but hey, no matter.
Lets just hope the BFGoodrich perform better eh?

Only partly wrong, FIA are planning a single tyre formula but not until 2008 I think. Still open this year and Subaru have picked Michelin, oh sorry they're now cynically repackaged as BF.

Pirelli did pull out. FACT
They were uncompetitive on anything else other than gravel anyway

And the single tyre manufacturer will be..........
<cynical mode on> "Whoever pays the WRC organisers the most money"<cynical mode off>
And it won't necessarily be the best tyre for the sport
Lots of decisions have been taken over the last few years that aren't that good for the sport
Starting with the rule banning Group B cars
Alcazar, (ALL IMHO, of course)

Anyone know WHERE it's taken? Looks like the roads around Crest and Die in the Drome region of SE France? I know some rally teams practice there
