how about a BMW forum
#1
Nah, don't think a BMW forum is needed, personally I think it's daft that we a F*rd forum etc.
Hey what the hell, lets have a forum for every make, don't forget a forum for those with Kenwood food mixers, oohh, oohhh and while we are at it, lets have a forum for motor bikes and mopeds, one for hair driers would be good. While in Argos I just couldn't make up my mind because we didn't have a hair drier forum, as a result I bought a shaver and have a grade 1.
Sure theres other forums I can think off.
We can then be called anythingbutscoobynet.co.uk

Forgot to mention, I hate BMW. Won't even spit at them. Far rather have a Merc. Far more class.

glad to see someone else getting the flack for a change... didn't you see what happened when I put up something similar ... phew...what really got me was the comments about using up server space... ...so I'm sure the Muppet Show section is a useful and well spent use of server space, time and energy... it would appear the rules change according to who the post is from...
PEN
PS Michelle, there is already a section for other marques, although headed Japanese, I'm sure it will cover most under the circumstances.
PS I believe the RS thread goes back to Mike Rainbird days when he was a very popular and influential contributor to this BBS

Do you really think the BMW lot would give us Subaru owners and fans an easy time if we used their BBS?
Scooby lot seem to be happy go lucky!
Please give the Bee eems a corner. All petrol heads together and all that.
LOL

Hi all,
IMHO
I don't mind what members drive(theres probably loads that don't even have a car), as I respect and like all cars, even Evo's LOL. I don't mind if members turn up in a 20year old Lada to a meet. I don't mind members posting their Pics of new BM's, evo's and Skylines etc. I don't mind them joining in our trackdays But surely this is Scoobynet.bbs not BMWnet.bbs Hows about we call it anyblokewithacar.net/bbs
Sorry Iam not being Elitist but if this was fastcarnet.bbs different story. Sorry Thumbs down

Fair comments on both sides, but there are so many new BMW ownwers, a few Audi owners, and the odd Porsche owner here; why not have a German marques forum, to go with the Japanese one?

One more vote for the German car forum ... we do "Other" Japanese & Ford, so why not ? Lots of former Scooby owners now drive Beemers etc... we might learn from each other, no ?
Besides, how can you drive a scoob and not be in love with an M3 E30 ?

How about just a General Other makes of cars that cover the rest of the makes? If we start up a BMW then it just gets silly
*Any other Manufacturers*
That will cover the rest

Depends really on what the people that run/own this place want. Do you want people who have sold there scoob to move to other forums or do you "let" them stay. The problem is that people do get rid of their Scoobys for cars that take longer to fall apart and hold there value longer(BMW'S).But they still want to use Scoobynet. Is Scoobynet a community or an information site? I think the other two car forums should be merged into "other makes" for everone else who doesnt own a scooby.

Carlos plenty of peeps here don't have Scoobs anymore but they
still post here because they have friends here etc, which is a cool
thing. If they moved on to, say, an M3 surely a BMW BBS
would be far more usefull for BMW specific queries to them than a 'bit part' BM forum here?
You don't need to be a member of only 1 bbs.

Now if BMW did a few performance cars? that would be different
Having, now test driven the new M3 I had to ask again, wheres all the horses gone, they've changed into old ponies! 0-100 yeah, right.....
Bring on the BMW section, we need someone to slag off, erm I mean create polite conversation with, just when we were on Pistonheads site for a while with all those 'its just broken down again' TVR owners

I agree Kosy, it does seem strange this other forum stuff, but being a member of the RSOC BB i can safely say the posts and conversations over here a lot more intersting and intelligent. well most of them anyway! But when i need info etc I use it. Also there is only ONE muppet forum and its here
