Consensus is that a basic panel filter (eg Green), works better than an Induction Kit on a Scoob.

As for exhausts, Miltec, Revolution and H & S come recommended.............
then there are the loud ones if that's your preference !

cheers for that, where bouts in scotland you from mate?

will a panel filter give any sort of increase in noise?

dont want a loud exhaust, would be quite happy keeping my standard sti b/box. what part of exhaust should i replace first to free up some bhp and get a nice burble??

Hi Elreg, I'm 10 miles southwest of Edinburgh. And you ?

Panel filter doesn't make a huge difference - just slightly more responsive, a bit more of a "woosh" noise on boost.

The exhausts quoted are fine in terms of noise /burble. What year of car do you have ?

I drive an 01 Bug WRX remapped to 273bhp, modded supsension etc.

My car started with 3 cats - up-pipe, down pipe and centre pipe. When remapping, i was short of cash and wanted an MOT friendly car so only decatted the centre pipe.

ASAIK, your STi has two cats - centre pipe and downpipe. Some people remove both then refit the centre cat at MOT time. For MOT friendly, you can decat the centre and fit a dp with a high flow cat. Or, leave one on, which should be enough for MOT's.
