Default Autocheck question

I used autocheck to check a vehicle that I viewed today, and although it was fine, the engine number came back as unknown... is this something to be worried about, since all the other checks I have made ALL brung up the Engine No.

If its an import some times on the way over they lack detail , my sti came in as a GL (to avoid import tax) i have now sorted this proper so it can only be insured as such, some times they have the vin number but no engine number, hope this helps, there is nothing to stop you correcting this with the dvla as i did

As above, mine is a euro import and on the V5c it says engine number unknown. Nothing to worry about.

Depends on what model/year, The 04 onwards newage euro imports are exactly the same apart from no badge on the back saying type uk. Someone may correct me.

i used autocheck before buying a saxo vtr for the wife off ebay.it came back clear after buying it noise seemed to increase on the front end over a few days and the front bumper was working loose.on removing the bumper i found damage to the wing and surrounding area.this worried the wife so i took it for an mot where my relative works and told him to go to town on it.it just needed a couple of antiroll bar links, but on entering the reg on the computer it came up that its been in a crash.yet nothing came up on autocheck.so be carefull chaps
