Default Does anyone else actually wash their exhaust?

Or is it just me that spends 10 mins washing it, then buffing it with t cut for 5 mins ?

Only reason im mentioning it is because about 3 people walked past as I was washing it and 2 of them gave me dodgey looks and the other asked if I always clean the exhaust

Am I just a sad act?

Yes, Always wash it over with a sponge, and give it a quick once over with autobrite metal polish once a month, (polishing is done in the garage though !!)

Nothing wrong with polishing your tip every time you wash.

Whats the point in buying and installing a nice shiny exhaust just to let it get mucky and less visible.Keep it shiny and when you look in your rear veiw mirror at the traffic lights watch the cars occupants behind you have a good gawp

on most scoobs it's big enough that you have to wash it as it's pretty noticeable!!

mine isn't shiny and being 5" it doesn't get very dirty but i have found it full of mud a few times, it acts like a pastry cutter in the muddy bank when i have turned around up a lane
