Default WRX STi V3 Wagon import

Hi , I've been looking to get an STi Wagon V3 but having trouble finding any.

I've spotted a couple on the trader and but thats it.

Does anyone know any sources that might have one of these cars or have seen any for sale?

Are these really that rare?

Many thanks

I have an STi 3 Wagon V Ltd 096/555 in blue.
Other than a small hole in the driver's seat, it is virtually immaculate.
I rebuilt the engine earlier this year, it is still on O/E turbo, TMIC, injectors and ECU but produces 335 bhp/333 ft/lbs and is VERY good on fuel, an indication how fit the motor is.
Privacy glass, air con, racing pedals, short shift, inlet charge temp guage, boost guage, discreete knock link, 16" gold wheels (recent full refurb) earthing kit and power stabiliser, new plug leads, the list goes on.

This is a sensible fast car (12.9 1/4) but good on fuel when driven accordingly and you will be hard pressed to find a better example.
harveysmith1@btopenworld.com if you are interested. (Darlington)

P.S. Lots of people in the North/Scotland will know this car.

Did you ring up about that silver one on autotrader? Looks really nice...

"1997 SUBARU IMPREZA 2.0 WRX STi 4dr Saloon
Manual, Facelift Version 3 WRX STI Wagon 280+ BHP,
genuine mileage, 17 inch gold speedline wheels (not shown),
new tyres,4 inch Trail racing S/S decat exhaust,
STI Closed deck red top high revving engine,
quick shift close ratio box STI Carbon strut brace,
Cat 1 Toad alarm & Immobiliser. Original unmarked STI Interior.
Expensive Panasonic CD / MD System.
usual Scooby extras aircon etc Long MOT, Tax, Just had new oil.
Jap history and Docs Very fast and practical."

Doesn't look like it comes with the black wheels by looking through the description.

Not to split hairs with anybody but:

STI Closed deck red top high revving engine,
Unless the car has had an engine rebuild to specifically include a CDB, then it does NOT have one.

I think your right harvey , Im sure the B and C engine types were the only ones with a closed deck. The advert I copied and pasted says its a 1997 Version 3 which I think should have been on a D type engine and im sure was the first to have an open deck. I pm'd the contact number to 16v6n so sure he can ask, looks like the trader who has this car had just lifted some info off the net. Pictures of it look really nice tho.....

And 16v6n seems right that the wagon STi Ver3's seem really rare, only a few about, unless anyone can help?

Either way it is no big deal as the open deck block is good for over 500 bhp. It is just that some Traders see a red top engine and can attribute all sorts of magical powers to it.
Personally I think the need for and even perhaps desirability of a CDB is one of the myths in Scooby folklore.

If you go back on Jap performance homepage they do state they have a stock yard in Japan, worth ringing them & finding out, might have a wagon. Good Luck.

That link should be banned. Some nice wheels on there.

How good are those Starlet/Glanza's?

I'd like a version 5. Not going to happen, I fear.
