Why do Evo Magazine .........
Why do Evo magazine rate the RB5 so much more highly than a UK Turbo with PPP and 17 inch wheels?
The cars are virtually the same, except a rear bulk head stiffener, which I have been told does not do much anyway.
I think the Classic Turbo with PPP is too underated,
The addiional torque really helps the car, and the extra power also a nice addition over the standard car.
Is it that because the RB5 is limited addition, and cool colour and has some cosmetic tweeks that Evo thinks it improves the driving experience?
Just some of my thoughts ,Evo still the best Car Mag I will not cancel my subscription but would like some higher residuals for the UK Classic!!

Could it be because Evo Magazine seem to rate the cars, apart from some specific exceptions, as completely standard "out of the box"? Maybe they class the PPP in the same way as any other modification, although it's an "official" one? Just my thought...

aggs,
I rate the RB5 higher BECAUSE of it's "limited addition, and cool colour and has some cosmetic tweeks"; and that's why EVO mag has too. It is better than a MY99 PPP.
I'm not so sure the driving experience is improved. In fact, that's down to the condition of the car not the color, plaque or model number.
But I've not yet found the MY99 PPP Owners club.

because they are rare compared to the common UK turbos.
they come with limited edition spoiler and wheels.
they come with a quick shift gearlever (which will improve the drive slightly).
and most come with PPP anyway and Prodrive suspension.
and some come with Alcons.
but yes mainly because they are a special edition.

Forgot about the Quickshift.
They do look classy.
I am lucky my Classic has the same rear spoiler which also looks pretty classy I think.
Some good comments.
PPP classic Owner Club required then could call it "The RB5 Spec PPP Classic Club!!!!
Only the MY99 and MY2000 though!!!

At one point, Evo overrated all imprezas. Except for the later ones they slated. They woke up and smelt the coffee by then
