Default MY06 Sti type UK selling price

Hi, If I were to sell the car, what do you think of £20k as an asking price, is it too cheep? I've been ofered £18k at a dealer but its not enough. the car is a MY 06 type UK sti WR Blue as new 6700 miles. thank in advance.

nearly a year old now so 18k is a fair price from a dealer to retail at 19.5K

I agree £18k from a dealer is not a bad price - especially considering the free fuel deal on new ones.

A similar one (but EU import) sold for £17k on Ebay recently - eBay.co.uk: 2006 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI BLUE (item 180053928750 end time 28-Nov-06 15:12:52 GMT)

They'll also be the 07 model. I very much doubt the end of the free fuel offer will bump up second hand values, to be honest. £18k trade in from a dealer sounds reasonable.

Asking prices on autotrader near me seem to start at just under £20k - and I'd imagine in most cases, people will deal a little bit, so will get a bit less than that. For £22k asking price there's a dealer one with 800 miles on the clock - and with cars at that sort of price, people will generally pay significantly more for the peace of mind by going through a dealer

Why you thinking of getting rid after only almost 7 k miles ?

Not many miles for the money you will now loose in tis deprciation.

I was in a similar position with a MY05 a few months ago. All I can suggest is ring around the dealers as their offers varied by £2500 in my case. One dealer may well have someone waiting for such a vehicle and will pay good money for an easy sale. Good luck.
