Post Does this look about right?

As title really. Started to fit my FMIC today, (from Flat4Online). Would like to know from someone who's fitted one, if the position of this hard pipe looks about right:

I must point out that the above pipe isn't connected to the turbo yet. The thing is, I dont really see how that pipe is going to connect with the one thats going to go from the I/C

On that point, does anyone have a side picture of where the I/C pipework runs, so I can work out where to cut the inner wing? Preferably on an early classic (MY94) like mine.

I read the Hybrid front mount fitting guide, but all the pics were little red x's. So some pics would be of great use if someone has some.

Some other pics incase someone can add arrows or something to indicate the pipework route on the drivers side and where to chop the inner wing:

If someone can help with this I'd be very grateful. I'll be trying to get it finished tomorrow, so I would really appreciate a speedy response, please and thanks

Micky.

No need for that mate. He's tried to help, more than you've done.

the hard pipe seems like its on the wrong side... try fliping it maybe, methinks it should curve down where it curves up, at the end there.

my .02 cents

The pic does look right but you will need to modify the pipe a bit to get it to fit the turbo. some pics of mine

Thanks for all your input

Got it finished this afternoon. Only thing I'm not happy about is that I had to lose my air-con.

I'll get some pictures up soon.

Take 1 grinder, 1 inner wing, and chop a bloody big hole in said wing

Naked full frontal with hard pipes in place:

Apexi induction kit went back on, refitted vacuum pipes and checked hose clamps were all tightened

Fully clothed full frontal:

Thats the short version of todays events.

I have to say that I'm really grateful to all the help given, both on SN and on my mates driveway and over the phone from people.

Job done, 2 days in the cold but well worth it

Would personally recommend lagging the hot side from the turbo under the air filter..Any heat managment you can do around there is always benefitial...

Yeah, we meant to do that. My mate who was helping me said yesterday that he still had some exhaust wrap and that we should really do the pipe that runs above the turbo. But what with all the pipework shenanigans we sort of forgot

I'll get it sorted at some point soon.

Well better late than never. I finally got my **** in gear and wrapped my intercooler pipe.

It's only taken nearly 4.5 years to get round to it.
