Unhappy Pretty Miffed With Myself

Last week I got a set of STI Antrhocite 17" Alloys and Mr Happy.

Was parking last night & not concentrating and kerbed one of my new wheels.

In Daylight today, I can see I have scuffed it, and taken off the finish & you can see bare metal.

Down to me.

Any advice on where i can get a repair kit & how to go about it please?

Many thanks.

I did that to some alloys on my last car after fitting them about a week earlier. Horrible feeling isn't it! I never curbed the old ones either!
Good news is though mate, my Impreza had some bad curb marks on them when I went to look at it. I told the dealer i'd want them sorting, he got some lad out and now you can't even tell (and i'm a fussy git who can spot botch jobs!) He didn't send the wheels off anywhere, the bloke came round with a kit, filled the gaps and sprayed them up. Try a Google search for someone in your area who does a similar job?

If you can't find owt in YP, try local tyre dealers. They tend to know where to get alloys refurbed for cheap and a good job done.

would do a repair yourself, because you will definetly do it again and it will work out a expensive every time..wait till youve got a few and get the lot done at the same time

Had a bloke near me sort one of my wheels I kerbed last year on my old scooby, I think he charged me £30, but he was there for a good 2 hours, so was worth every penny.

Going to phone him again after xmas as my missus has kerbed the wheel on our Focus RS!

Kingsway tyres, but you have to go to the Grimsby branch. It's on Ladysmith Rd, so strictly speaking it's in Cleggy.

Did me two a couple of years ago, £25 the pair.

Thanks everone.

Any idea of where I can get a repair kit & have a go myself.

Feel so stupid that I did it & I would very much like to sort it out myself.

Thanks.

Not sure if these are a national company or just local..... but chips away come out to you and do body repaire and wheel repaires...... seen some wheels they had filled and repainted on the car without removing and it was very good...... could do a search to see if anyone else does the same service.

Alan,

There's a guy at Listers who repairs alloys. Saw him in action in May repairing a BMW M5 wheel, he made an ace job of it.

Cheers Red.
