I am seriously looking to buy a 2003 wrx, it only has 6000miles on it!!!!
this seems suspiciously low!

is this too good to be true? (tho it is from an authorised subaru dealership tho)

If it has a full service history and full reciept folder then why disbelieve it? You could also ring the old owner on the log book to get verification.

Where from?
Why are you so suspicious? If the mileage is genuine then don't pay over the odds for the privelige. Things like tyres, shock absorbers battery will all be close to 4 years old. To cover such a low mileage it may have made a lot of short journeys.....not good for an engine. If it hasn't made a lot of short journeys then its been stood up for long periods. The other pitfall of buying such a low mileage car is when you want to buy dealer will make a big point of it. When you come to sell they'll just refer to the age of the car. I'm not knocking such a car...just don't like people being ripped off

Very good words of wisdom, Short journeys = no, stood still for any car is a no, but especialy a turbo is a no no

I presume its the bearings in the turbo being stood and seizing up. I have just always been not told, but had that DRILLED into my head from the day I knew what a car was lol, my dad used to own about 3 car dealerships and workshops etc. So i just always took his word

I got my 2003 STI Type UK in August 2006. The previous owner had it for 2 and a half years from new and covered 3800 miles. He told me it he spent more time polishing it than driving it. I have had it for 16 months now and it has been absolutely faultless over the 6500 miles I've put on it. Do not be discouraged by the low mileage at all. On the contrary, my car is an absolute minter due to the low milage and the one you are interested in might be as well.

Craig.

More scare mungering boobiman.

If the car has correct mileage, which can be verified and is the right price for you then good luck to you, fill your boots.

Don't however pay over the odds, these cars are hard top shift on, so paying more than you should in the first place means a bigger hit later in life. Whats it up for? Somewhere around £10K no doubt?

Most imports have been clocked, I used to have a 94 twin turbo supra with only 44k miles on it, I was first owner in UK, and that was no doubtly clocked.
