Default STI PPP MPG

Can anyone tell me what range consumption should be for a STI 8 PPP.
Week day journey is only 3 miles each way so car is pretty much running cold. No mods other than ppp.
I seem to be getting around 20 or slightly under.
Before anyone says i shouldn't moan about mpg figures i'm not, i just want to make sure the car is running as it should.
The car seems ok on its weekend 120 mile round trip but never actually check the actual figures.
Nik.

usually get about 240 miles to a tank, in my 03 STI PPP although better on a long motorway run. best was 320 miles to to the tank, worst around 180. all in all, very dependant on how you drive it, a couple of quick blasts and the needle moves in an instant !

190-240 miles to a tank on the same car. not worked it out MPG it'd be far to depressing lol.

Pays your money and you takes your chances. U don't buy such a car hoping to get 30 MPG on a regular basis

Your MPG is spot on. Short journeys with a cold engine are the worst for fuel consumption.

Yep same here for me, about 230 miles to a tank. Got a fair bit more on a run down the motorway. Scary how the fuel gauge moves more than any other needle when you drive it a bit harder.

I'd say 20 mpg is about right on short runs like that. Mine used to do about 23 mpg on 12 to 25 mile runs with PPP but since remap this has improved to 25-26 mpg. PPP is quite a rich map for warranty/safety on any old SUL, AFR about 10 on boost. Remap stretches this to 11.5 at the inconvenience of only using V-Power.

On average taking into account mixed driving (Hard/commute) I'm getting about 250 to the tank. Around 21 mpg.

You loose about 30% fuel consumption over the figures when the car is running cold (approx first 3 miles) so your not doing it any good you could be healthy and take a bike to work?

110k miles in mine

easy run i get about 280 ... 200-240 seems about right for everyday and sub 200-120 seems right for pushing it.

if you are going to worry about fuel consumption then the impreza is really not the car for you as the needle really does go down fast.

Agree with Tony.
Get the bike out.
Short runs not good for any car, go home the long way to get the oil hot and any condensation out.

Easier said than done when i have two kids to drop off at nursery, school and then get to work. Also i dont fancy a 3 mile sprint on a bike in a suit to get to work for 9:15 (And no there are no changing rooms with showers at work).

I will only worry about consumption if its using more than it should suggesting it ain't running right.
This is my second Impreza so i am well aware of the their petrol consumption and am happy to pay the price as long as the car is running as intended.

We can be a rude lot.
A good run once or twice a week will keep the car in tip top shape.
Find your favourite twisties and leave the kids at home!
