Default scooby question

i have an 1995 impreza wagon wrx import...

it has a 3B ecu in it..... any idea how much BHP its producing???????

also im looking to fit a Z5 ecu into it...... any idea what BHP that will give?????

what year mate, i think the early 94 ones are only 220bhp, later ones are more, also check what turbo your running? I'd suggest just get a ESL chip off ebay, it'll push your boost up to 1.1! much smoother and quicker.

believe its a td04..... can u see the turbo id plate looking in from the bonnet?????

You can only replace the ecu with one that has the same turbo etc otherwise you will/can have fuelling problems.
Now if you would have gone for a UK wagon of the same age you would have got a car with the bigger TD05 turbo (strange but true!) so your limited on your options, mainly as stated, go for a piggyback ecu.

i have now bought a z5 ecu. it came from a 1996 wrx import.....

i got it from Grade A Subaru breakers.... they said it will fit with no problems......

im now not sure
