Because I'm a lazy ******, jetwash mine, take it home, dry it all up and in the summer only, wax it. Never wax it in the winter, don't want to wax it all the grime and crap. Works for me.

The two bucket technique seeems to be a favourite with those that love their Impeza. after washing several coats of polish, sealing wax, carnuba polish etc etc.
Their was a good link posted by Corradoboy when he had his detailed and the company that did it have some top tips!

I don't! it is a car!!!!
but when I do I jet wash it then sponge it off then jetwash it. Can't be ar5ed with all this lovingly spending hours cleaning and polishing it only for it to get pissed on by the rain or crapped on by birds or generally dirty by using it. It gets washed the same as all my other cars, a scooby is nowt special.
after all it is a car and unfortunately they get dirty! it is a fact of life.

Here you go
https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...ghlight=detail
Follow this link, register as per Corradoboys post and their are some top tips, product advice etc.
Depends on what time you have available and what standard you want to keep your car in. Some treat it like a car, others like a baby. Me I used to be somewhere in between.
Used to get washed once per week minimum, polished once per week in the summer, sealed every month to 6 weeks and for the winter got a thorough clean back to basics and then the full treatment.
A good quality polish and sealing wax is the key, loads available and everyone has their prefrences ranging from Mcguiars, Mothers, poor boys, autoglym etc etc.
Personally I really rated the Mcguiars NXT wax for shine and longevity but it was not the easiest to polish out.
Washing, again dependant on personal choice. Start at the top and work down doing the lower doors and boot / rear bumper last. That should reduce swirls in the paint work.

Best technique for me; is drive to work, pull in at shell, say "wash & wax", drink a coke, watch the lads wash it, pay £4.50 and drive off. Works a treat!
