Need advice on Scooby.........
#1
Hi folks,
I'm new to the forum and in need of some help....I am soom going to sell my Golf Vr6 and either purchase a WRX (93-95 Import) or A mazda RX7 (new shape 93-95).
I know that this may be a silly place to ask this question, but are the RX's as releable as the WRX's for everyday driving. Also what kind of MPG/performace can I expect from both of these. Can anyone please reccomend a good buying guide for the scooby, I have found a couple on the RX7....
thanks

As far as I remember the RX7 is a terrific car. BUT running costs are extreme. They guzzle fuel, even more than a scoob's ~10Mpg. The engine was a weak point on ealier models

Buyers Guide. The best place is scoobynet. That way you can ask whatever you like and get honest opinions about it. For a general FAQ read http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm
I reckon the scoob is a better long term bet, esp as a day to day car

I can only comment on one RX-7 that a friend owned seemed to need an awful lot of work.
Engine rebuilds etc for the rotors on the wankel and not great fuel economy but then the scoob is not great for that.
