As you look at the engine facing it, they are on the "sides" of the engine - 2 on each side - Just follow the HT leads from the coilpack at the top.

Remeber - it's a boxer engine, so they won't be on top like a straight 4 or a V6 or whatever.

Oh, and they are easier to get to from underneath than from the top.

Not necessarily.

If you take the airbox off the driver's side and move the water bottle on the passenger side, access from on top of the engine is relatively straightforward - and you can see (some of) what you are doing.

Thanks Dave....I will try that if I cannot get to them easily from underneath. The less I have to take off the better really....purely cos I'm in a bit of a rush

Don't know if this helps, but..

See the red HT leads on the top? follow those and you'll get to the plugs.

Its really handy if you have the right length plug key and try to make sure the rubber insert on plug key does not get stuck in the plug holes.

Also its worth checking to make sure the rubber caps on the plug end are still in place before you put it all back together as its possible water etc. can get in if they dont seat properly.
