Sema 2006 Las Vegas
Took a trip to the good old U S of A and visitied Las Vegas just in time for the Sema Show. All i can say is amazing, the yanks sure know how to do it. Managed to get a trip into the Las Vegas Speed Way for the drag racing and the bull ring. Also drove to San Fransisco for the 49ers game and to see the Golden Gate Bridge and that famous Lombard Street. Some spot and I will be back.
Heres a few photos of it

How did you manage to get in? I looked into this but they seem to be fairly strict about it being trade only. If there's a chance I'll be there next year

I've been there a number of times in the past and yes, it is trade only, but with so many people you have to see who you know. I nearly ended working for SEMA hence my involvement.
And you need to allow at least 2-3 days to see everything. It is massive, and I think in the top 3 largest trade shows in the world in terms of size. Amazing really...

We got accredited using the press angle, we have press passes through one of the mags we cover stuff for, and all we had to do was supply them with a copy of the pass and some of the articles that have been done.
As mightyvid says, its massive, by half way through the first day being there we had only just covered 3/4 of the first hall.

That place is just HUGH, saw it from the Vegas Monorail thingy.
We went the other way from SF down to LA then LV, Lombard Street was tight in the big *** 4x4 we hired but we made it down unscathed
Did you take in Alcatraz while you were there? I had wanted to go there ever since I saw Electric Dreams, was a strange old place for sure...

@johnnyroper, that's almost exactly where we went...3 in SF, 3 in LA, 4 in LV and a week on Hawaii (Kauai). Loved every minute of it, planning to do the Richard Petty Driving Experience dates permitting
