Cat D write off - Must have been somewhat extensive damage if the insurance company decided a £33,000 car was uneconomical to repair.....

It can - but it means the insurance company felt it was uneconomical to repair. I.e. Cat D on a £1500 car could quite possibly be just a knock on the rear wing, or even just severly damaged paintwork.

I would be extremely cautious over a Cat D on a car worth £30K odd.

I nearly fainted when I saw the price..... until I saw it had been in a smash

Mine is build 34 (that one is 35) and I paid £28k for it 6 months ago.

If it's been properly repaired then it has to be an absolute bargain!!

Only 950 miles!! That means it's been off the road for an awful long time as well

Ins comps go off dealer prices to repair vehicles that's why they are "uneconomical" to repair...There might have been very little damage for that to be written off. £30k car doesn't need much wrong with it to make it uneconomical to repair.

I remember Iain Litchfield telling me that a couple of T25's had been wrapped around trees, so beware.

Also if the car has only done 950 miles, then its not even been run in, and therefore not mapped. I wonder if the seller knows this?

Still a good bargain if it's been repaired perfectly...

Theres a lot of rubbish being talked here about ABI categories, again. Where a car is constructively written-off the cost of the car has no bearing on the amount of damaged required.

heard off someone in the know that the Type 25 is very dodgy so not quite the bargain you would think when the boys in blue knock your door

£42,000 conversion - not quite sure where all that money has gone?

£25,000 on engine and turbo alone - I think the tuner saw them coming
