Took my car into subaru today complaining of a small exhaust blow..

The mechanics checked it out and advised me i needed a new mainfold, downpipe and gasket set!! RRP 350£..

Luckly it's under warranty for about 2 more weeks! The manager said no probs to replacing it but this seems a little excessive!!

Has anyone else had this happen.. It's a Splate my99!!

Question

manifold and DP? Were they both leaking and if so from where (joints)?

Surely they couldn't have rusted through yet! The BB usually goes first.
