Little f@$%£rs.
This happened yesterday evening when I was parked up at the doctor's surgery. I didn't do the usual "walk round the car to check for damage" on the way out, so I was unaware of the missing slats until this morning.
I'm absolutely livid. I'm not going to try to rationalise the intention of the damage, in my view it's just a mindless act with no meaning, but that doesn't stop me from being pissed off about it.
I've been back to where I parked, and the slats were lying in a nice neat pile in the carpark.
If I catch them, I'll do more than rip their slats off......
I've noticed alot of "damage & theft" threads this month, it's almost like these little ***** have a quota to meet......

You may have had a lucky escape, one of the ways to disable an alarm without setting it off by lifting the bonnet is to go in through the vents.
They tried that with my old cossy but had already relocated it.
They may have been disturbed mid break in!!!!

Thanks guys.
gotmashed, thanks for the offer. I don't know what shade of red mine is, I'll check the paint code. You have PM...
Mangel, I hadn't thought of that. There was some kids lurking on the footpath that runs by the carpark when I left, but at that point I was unaware of the damage. The mesh underneath is pretty sturdy, though, exactly for that reason.

Nope mate, just some weird shadows going on in that photo, the rest of the car is fine. The vandals must have been quite careful not to scratch the paint or dent the bonnet......
