Just now had a look in a book.
The STI II's had red manifolds but the RA's didn't.
They were introduced on normal STI's with the II and on RA's with the III.
The 555 was limited to 500 units in saloon form and 100 in wagon.
It did indeed have a vent as standard but the wagon didn't.

Because he wants to know what they might mean by a v-spec, not what a 555 might be. And it's GC8's business as an importer to know the various models - he has experience, he's not just an anorak reading it out of a book.

DCCD 'came in' witht he 1995 STI Type-RA; an altered-production car based on a 1995 Type-RA. This model introduced DCCD and a roof vent. As James and awesomepossum have said the 555 had a roof vent...

I think that it is a WRX V-Limited, but you would need to see the Applied Model Number to be certain (ending in 48D). The 555 saloons were STI Type-RA based and the roof vent is clearly not present on the car in question.

I just now looked again and there was a V-Limited around that year.
Looking at the details it does fit that MO just it's a V-Limited not a v-spec.
The wrx version was 1000 units and available in black white and red.
The sti version was 555units and had a roof vent dccd etc.
The DCCD actually came in on the STI 1 acording to this book.

DCCD was introduced on the model that I described in post #20. That was the 1995 STI Type-RA which is distinctly seperate from the oriiginal STI (1).

The RA's didn't have em and the v-limited was based on a ra so didn't have red manifolds.
The normal STI' did tho, page 63.
